Today is Chinese new year's eve, this is also my first time celebrating Chinese new year outside my home country. It is so sad that we can't have a day off for new year since we are now in America. It is even more sad that my parents, aunties, and cousins called me to say happy new year this morning when I was on my way driving to school ! Imagine the feeling that all your friends and families are having fun and celebrating the holiday but you have to go to a 8:00 morning class! I am physically driving but my heart already fly for thousand of miles back to Taiwan.
Fortunately, I am now living with my aunt who stays in America for more than decades but still following Chinese tradition. We had a hot pot with some fresh beef and sea food. After dinner, we played black jack instead of playing mahjong. Most important of all, I got a red envelope from my aunt! As long as I can get a red envelope, I guess it really doesn't matter to me for having class in the new year.
♥Happy Chinese New Year♥
